About Us
Bihar Disabled Sports Academy (BDSA) is a premier inclusive sports institution dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities through sports, physical education, and athlete development. Established on 1st April 2000 by Dr. Shivajee Kumar, the Academy has been working for over two decades to create equal opportunities for children, youth, and adults with disabilities to participate, compete, and excel in sports.
BDSA provides year-round sports training, professional coaching, talent identification, fitness development, and competitive opportunities for athletes with physical, visual, hearing, intellectual, and multiple disabilities. Our mission is to build confidence, independence, leadership, and excellence while preparing athletes to represent Bihar at District, State, National, and International competitions.
Through community outreach, coach education, awareness initiatives, and strategic partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, NGOs, and sports organizations, Bihar Disabled Sports Academy continues to build an inclusive sporting ecosystem where every individual, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to unlock their full potential through the transformative power of sports.
